As the Assistant Defensive Football Coach, you will:
Coach Defensive position assigned
Lead Coach kick-off
Assist with video, work study and liaison with weight room
Implement game plan and game day assignments per defensive coordinator
Demonstrate a high level of teaching and coaching competency in sport skill instruction, sport strategy, tactics and rules, physical training and fitness and student motivation in practice execution
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics and
Recreation which may include supervision of students in recreational programs including intramurals, club sports, general facility monitoring, game-day management, concessions fundraising opportunities or other special projects.
Recruiting in an assigned area of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes. Recruitment will include data entry and correspondence, talent identification and communication of College opportunities and expectations
Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to the NCAA, Conference, Allegheny College, and Department of Athletics and Recreation’s values statement, including commitment to lifelong learning, sportsmanship on and off the field of play, positive leadership and the desire and ability to act as a positive role model and representative of the College at all times.
Minimum of 1-3 years required experience, 4-7 years preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite of Products, and Front Rush Recruiting Software
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to teach through use of images and emerging technologies.
Travel is required and includes extended periods on the road. Evening, holiday and weekend hours along with flexible work scheduling are required. Frequent travel outside of the College.
Lifting, carrying, loading sport specific equipment; set up and tear down of sports contest support equipment; some care and maintenance of sport specific or general athletic facilities
Compensation
Starting salary will be competitive, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Expected starting salary: $33,280.00 annually - full time, exempt
