Augusta University is seeking applications for an Assistant Men’s Golf Coach. This is a fulltime 12-month position (working through-out the year). Augusta University Men’s & Women’s golf team competes at the NCAA DI level and is a proud member of the Southland Conference.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: This position will assist the head coach of the men's golf team in the areas of recruiting/scouting, instruction, academic monitoring, player development and additional responsibilities assigned by the head coach. The assistant golf coach will display an experienced professional playing background to give our student-athletes the highest Insight and experiences that they may encounter in their future as a professional golfer. The assistant golf coach will travel with the golf team throughout the continental USA for men's golf team tournaments. The assistant golf coach will also travel recruiting student-athletes for the Augusta University men's golf team. The assistant golf coach may play and compete on professional tours as it fits the men's golf team schedules (summer and winter months) and with permission from the Head Coach of Men's Golf. While competing in various golf tournaments, the assistant golf coach will also be responsible for his or her own travel expenses while competing in professional events and can recruit in those locations as his or her schedule permits.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline with preference given to coaching and recruiting related experience in coaching golf at the collegiate level. CPR certification must be completed within two months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: •Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
