The Head Coach provides leadership and organization for all phases of the operation of the softball program at Roosevelt University in compliance with all institutional, NCAA and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLAIC) rules and regulations. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, recruiting of prospective students, planning and providing elite instruction and assessment at team practices and competitions, budget maintenance, equipment procurement, scheduling and travel, assistant coaching staff management and engaging with student-athletes to aid in their academic success, retention and eventual graduation from the University.
This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Vice President of Athletics and Student Success and is located on the Chicago campus.

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000

Bachelor’s Degree
2-5 years of experience as a coach, participant or related role
Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt’s core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors
A positive and professional demeanor is a must
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
