Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all aspects of the softball program.
2. Recruit, retain, and develop student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations.
3. Plan and conduct practices, skill development sessions, and team training activities.
4. Prepare for and manage competition, including game strategy, scouting, and player evaluation.
5. Supervise assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and support staff, including scheduling and performance oversight.
6. Coordinate team travel, scheduling, equipment, and operational logistics.
7. Manage and monitor program budgets and related financial activities.
8. Support fundraising, alumni engagement, and community outreach initiatives.
9. Organize and oversee camps, clinics, and other program-related events.
10. Promote academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being of student-athletes.
11. Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and University policies and procedures.
12. Maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, alumni, and community stakeholders.
13. Collaborate with athletics administration and campus partners to support departmental goals and initiatives.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Demonstrated coaching, leadership, and organizational skills
Knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and NCAA regulations

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred
Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred
