The Assistant Gymnastics Coach will assist the head coach in the overall operation of a Division I women’s gymnastics program. This position will perform coaching duties as assigned by the head coach; assist with administrative, community outreach, and public relations duties as assigned by the head coach. Responsibilities may include team warm-ups, scheduling, strength and conditioning, choreography, spotting, meet management, individual conferences, and all other areas associated with administering a Division I collegiate gymnastics team. This position will also assist in all facets of the process to recruit athletically and academically qualified student-athletes.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
At least two years of women’s Gymnastics coaching experience at Club, Elite or Collegiate level
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience at a Power 5 program
NCAA Division I coaching and/or student-athlete experience
Experience choreographing floor routines
Spotting experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to recruit student-athletes who will succeed academically and athletically
Ability to foster a positive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, leadership, and personal growth
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as necessary
