Position Summary Franklin Pierce University invites applications for the position of Head Coach for the Women’s Softball program. This is a full-time role responsible for leading all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II program, including recruiting, player development, program administration, and student-athlete success. The Head Coach will provide leadership that aligns with the University’s mission, supports student-athlete academic achievement, and promotes a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the softball program, including: Practice planning and game preparation Recruitment and retention of student-athletes Player development and performance evaluation Manage program operations: Budget planning and financial oversight Scheduling and travel coordination Equipment and facility management Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations Monitor and support student-athletes’ academic progress and personal development Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture Represent the University and athletic program in a professional manner on campus and externally

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred Prior collegiate coaching and recruiting experience strongly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance requirements Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills Commitment to academic excellence and holistic student-athlete development Ability to manage budgets and oversee program operations effectively
