The University of Lynchburg, located in central Virginia, is accepting applications for a Head Coach for our Women’s Basketball Program. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Athletics and will be responsible for all aspects of leadership for the Women’s Basketball program, including recruitment and retention of student-athletes, scheduling and team travel, budget management, and equipment purchases. The candidate must have a commitment to upholding the academic and athletic integrity and mission of the University, compliance with NCAA, conference, and University regulations. Other job related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. This is a full-time 12 month position. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. University of Lynchburg students have been recognized with 22 Academic All American awards since 1996, 251 all time All Americans and Seventeen different athletics programs have qualified for NCAA play over the past six years. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution Successful collegiate basketball experience is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communications skills; demonstrated organizational and management ability. The successful candidate must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the University.
