Internal Number: GA Softball Coach
The graduate assistant softball coach will work directly with the softball program and assist the head coach with all facets of the day-to-day operations of the program in compliance with Hiram College, PAC, and NCAA policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist head coach in practice and competition planning and implementation
- Assist in all facets of recruiting and retention of student-athletes to the softball program
- Assist with strength and conditioning program for softball
- Assist with all funding raising initiatives for the Hiram College softball program
- Do athletic laundry in sport season
- Participate in Annual Day with Hiram Golf Outing
- Other duties as assigned, to possibly include, but not be limited to other sport event management during the off-season.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of softball
- Ability to teach skills and strategy of softball
- Working knowledge of strength and conditioning relative to softball
- Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented office environment and interact in a positive manner with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the public.

- Proficient with all forms of social media
Experience
- Previous college softball and/or coaching experience preferred
- Experience recruiting college athletes preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Acceptance into the Hiram College MAIS Graduate Program or Sports Management Graduate program required for consideration
