The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of a successful NCAA Division III Women’s lacrosse program in accordance with all department, college, and NCAA Division III rules, regulations, and philosophies. In addition, the head coach performs all duties related to team operations including but not limited to the recruitment of qualified student athletes, student athlete development and retention, scheduling, budget management, and student athlete conduct. The head coach supports the entire Athletic Department by performing an ancillary duty as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
This is a full-time, 12-month position. This position does not require scheduled office hours during a pre-determined two-month time frame between June 1 and August 15.
Minimum of 2-3 years of coaching at the collegiate level or equivalent experience.
Experience with college recruiting and admissions (strong consideration for candidates with proven track record)
Understanding of NCAA and Institutional Compliance
Budget and travel management experience
Specialized Skills:
Ability to plan practice and instruct sport-specific skills and strategy
Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills
Highly organized with ability to multitask
Team community service, public relations, and fundraising experience as a player or coach
Preferred Education, Experience, or Specialized Skills:
Collegiate playing experience
Experience coaching at an NCAA Division III Institution
Previous coaching success demonstrated through recruiting, development of talent, retention and graduation rates.
