Provides leadership of all facets of the men’s and women’s fencing program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team. Actively builds, monitors, and promotes a standard of excellence in academic success, compliance, community service, diversity and inclusion, and student health and safety. Recruits and oversees student-athletes including training and competition. Monitors and supports academic success of student-athletes. Builds and maintains public awareness of the program. Performs other functionally relevant duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
One (1) year of experience coaching fencing at the high school, collegiate or equivalent level.
Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under CSU’s Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in sports management or related field.
Three (3) years of head coaching experience in collegiate fencing.
Familiarity with Northeast Ohio region.
Professional experience in a urban higher education environment.
