Auburn University at Montgomery, a member of the NCAA DII and Gulf South Conference, seeks qualified candidates for the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide support in the oversight of a successful NCAA DII men’s soccer program.
Recruit student athletes for men’s soccer.
Coach assigned players, groups, or skill positions.
Assist with and supervise strength and conditioning program(s) in partnership with the Strength & Conditioning staff.
Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which men’s soccer is conducted at all times when athletes are present; adhere to a highly efficient and technically sound program of injury prevention and follow up.
Maintain competency in rules, rule interpretations, meet procedures, coaching techniques and general information about all aspects of men’s soccer.
Assist student athletes to develop academically.
Keep appropriate team/individual statistics.
Assist head coach with video scouting/analysis.
Assist with fundraising and community outreach events.
As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced to ensure compliance relative to those applicable duties and complete all ARMS duties.
Ability to research and analyze data and reports
Ability to operate audio/video equipment and video editing equipment.
Game day set up and logistics for all games.
Assist with management of all program budgets, travel, scheduling and purchasing, in line with the guidelines provided by the athletic department and the Office of Financial Services.
Additional responsibilities to be assigned by the Head Men’s Soccer Coach or Director of Athletics.

Recruiting and compliance-related documentation
Ability to:
Successfully lead, recruit and manage people
Execute strong interpersonal skills
Apply acceptable teaching, coaching and mentoring techniques
Counsel and advise pre-college and college student-athletes within established rules and expectations
Manage budgets
Oversee management of GSC video exchange program
Assist with facility and equipment maintenance
Administer First Aid, CPR and AED
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
Two years of experience in coaching/playing soccer at the collegiate level are required.
Valid driver’s license.
Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

Master’s Degree
Previous coaching experience at the NCAA level
Playing/coaching experience in the NCAA Super South Region
