The Boys Director of Coaching is responsible for cultivating a love of the game and providing an environment that creates a positive culture and promotes coach and player development. The Director will be responsible for providing continuity for the overall soccer experience for players, coaches, and parents consistent with the Club's mission and vision.
The Boys Director of Coaching is a full-time, salaried position for NYSA (Oklahoma Celtic). • Be on-site during all programs with additional time as needed • Recruit, direct, and supervise the Boys coaching staff • Develop, operate, and oversee Boys club programs regarding coaching and player development. • Assist the Board of Directors in planning the future direction and structure of the Club and promoting the interest of the Club at all times.
Experience in a Director role (not necessarily Boys DOC role), but previous Boys DOC experience is preferred. Minimum 'B' License
Must be legally able to live and work in the United States. The club can't facilitate sponsoring a potential candidate.
NYSA/Oklahoma Celtic, based in Norman, OK, was founded in 1976 by Bob Shalhope and Gordon Drummond, who wanted an activity for children to play. The club started with 200 recreational players and has grown to 2,344 recreational players and 1,000 competitive and academy players. With the goal of creating opportunities in soccer for all levels and commitments, the club offers recreational soccer to adults. Oklahoma Celtic is recognized as a Players First Club and a proud ECNL Regional League member.
The club complex is located at 1001 East Robinson St. in Norman, Oklahoma. We have 22 full-size fields, 16 of which have lights. The complex is one of the best in the region!
NYSA/Oklahoma Celtic has grown into what it is today through strong leadership from its board and staff and great support from families and the community. We strive to follow the club's mission, vision, and core values to help impact children and create the best experiences possible.
