The University of Connecticut Football Strength and Conditioning program seeks to hire two or more interns for Summer 2024. The goal of our program is to provide an encompassing view of collegiate strength and conditioning, including programming, exercise technique and facility upkeep. The internship will include set up and take down of the weight room, daily cleaning and maintenance, completion of a comprehensive educational curriculum, hands on experience, and any other duties as assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. Potential candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills.
Qualifications
In pursuit of, or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting, as a coach or athlete. Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and possess, or currently working towards their certification through the USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa.
Compensation
This is an unpaid position with no housing or meal assistance. Internship credit hours may be obtained.
