Comply with all NCAA, Ivy League and Penn rules and policies. Organize team and coach travel, compliance paperwork, and other administrative responsibilities.

Counseling/Mentoring - Serve as a role-model and advisor for student-athletes in a general capacity. Connect student-athletes to necessary resources within and outside of Penn Athletics as needed. Provide a support system to all student-athletes on the team.

Alumni/Community Relations - Build strong relationships with alumni, fans, campus partners and the broader community.

         Broadcast Operations 
         
             Oversee and manage live event broadcasts on FloCollege Sports, ensuring compliance with ASC contractual and technical requirements of all Howard Payne University home athletic contests 
             Ensure consistent, high-quality production standards across all broadcasts 
             Coordinate all technical and production elements including video, audio, graphics, and replay 
             Maintain and manage broadcast equipment and technology 
             Assist with implementation and operation of new broadcast technologies and platforms 
         
     

     
         Talent Management 
         
             Serve as play-by-play or color commentator for selected home athletic events 
             Recruit, train, and schedule on-air talent including play-by-play and color analysts 
             Develop a consistent broadcast team to support all sports 
             Provide training and mentorship for student broadcasters and production staff 
         
     

     
         Radio Network Coordination 
         
             Serve as the primary liaison with radio partners across the Yellow Jackets Media Network

11.Responsible for managing and monitoring the program budget under the direction of the Director of Athletics.

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 
 
 Develops strength and conditioning programs for male and female student-athletes with review from the Assistant Athletic Director of Olympic Sports Performance and the Director of Sports Medicine.
 Supervises and coordinates strength and conditioning programs for men&#39;s and women&#39;s sports as required.
 Performs strength testing and evaluation as assigned.
 Oversees strength and conditioning programs which elicit safe and correct execution of exercise technique.
 Effectively communicates with athletic trainers and coaches on exercise protocol; 
 Participates in monthly Student-Athlete Performance Summit with Intercollegiate Sports Medicine Staff.
 Promotes the Olympic Sports Performance program during the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and for external constituents, as needed.
 Represents the Department at University, Big Ten Conference, and national-level conferences and professional development opportunities as assigned by the Assistant AD for Sports Performance.
 Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference, CSC and the NCAA.
 Responsible for adhering to all Department and University continuing education initiatives and required certifications and trainings.
 Other duties as assigned.
 QUALIFICATIONS 
 
 Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor&#39;s or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience. 
 Minimum of 2 years&#8217; experience as a sports performance coach. 
 Ability to lift 25 pounds. Ability to work cooperatively with others and effectively interact and establish engaging relationships with a wide variety of constituents. 
 Master&#8217;s degree preferred. 
 Certification through the IUSCA or NSCA required prior to start of employment. 
 Maintenance of CPR, AED and First Aid training required. 
 Previous sports performance coaching experience with Volleyball and Cross Country preferred.

 Essential Functions 
 Provides prevention, evaluation, recognition, treatment, diagnosis, referral, and rehabilitation of injuries for the Ice Hockey athletes. Serves as the Ice Hockey primary medical contact and liaison between members of the coaching staff, student athletes, parents, physicians, members of the student athlete health and welfare team, other allied health personnel, and sport administrators. Maintains safe environments for student athletes to include decision making involving the ability of student athletes to safely return to practice or competition following an injury and/or illness and communicates participation status with the appropriate personnel. Provides assistance to other staff members with the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries for all student athletes. Acts as a liaison with the Kinesiology department for all undergraduate students involved in sports medicine. Provides supervision of undergraduate kinesiology students and assists the Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine with interviewing and selecting undergraduate kinesiology student interns. Prepares and maintains student employee records of hours worked, compensation paid, etc. Responsible for operational duties assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine. This may include but is not limited to ordering and inventorying medical supplies, scheduling staff, and updating policy and procedure manual. Seeks, builds, and secures relationships with outside medical professionals to assist in the care of student athletes as needed. Facilitates payment of bills received as a result of athletic participation by submitting claims to secondary insurance provider and following up with claims department to verify payment. Coordinates assignment of immersive clinical students from affiliate institutions; maintains affiliate agreements; ensures all preceptor documentation and trainings are complete and accurate. Creates and executes continuing education training opportunities for staff to ensure that NATA BOC requirements are met. Provides athletic injury care coverage during all practice, strength and conditioning sessions, and competitions, both at home and away. Schedules and oversees athletic clearance and post season exit physical examination process performed by physicians at the University Health Service for applicable sports programs. As part of clearance physicals, performs baseline concussion testing for assigned student athletes. Ensures oversight and follow through on any items discovered during evaluations deemed to require follow up. Oversees the operation of the Mullins Center sports medicine facility to insure appropriate function, maintenance, and accurate inventory control. Provides direct supervision of two (2) Assistant Athletic Trainers. Responsible for the hiring, mentoring, educating, and facilitating communication with coaches and other staff. 5. GAME DAY MANAGEMENT.
