Working as part of the Sports Facilities Operations Team and reporting to the Operations Manager, Operations Specialists work to successfully execute events. This position is responsible for the on-site management and coordination of event operations staff and equipment during day to day activities and on event days. Works individually or with the team to:

• Perform duties related to set-up/tear-down, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of day to day and special operational equipment.
• Equipment includes such things as the basketball floor, seats, bleachers, tables, chairs, stage, pipe and drape, operation of related vehicles, podiums, etc.
• Assist with Bobcat Stadium facility operations, turf management, and ice/snow management
• Event specific: supervise a crew of up 30 students and up to 35 stagehands ( may assist with hiring, training, scheduling, etc)
• And actively contribute to the success of the department by performing other duties as needed in support of the department’s mission

1. Experience in event and building operations or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
2. Experience setting up, operating, maintaining and/or troubleshooting operational equipment (examples: bleachers, stage, chairs, pipe/drape, etc).
3. Experience providing excellent customer service to a variety of individuals.
