The counselor will provide academic advising regarding degree requirements and academic policies as well as broader University policies and procedures. They must be aware of or have knowledge of departmental requirements and policies, coordinate with other academic units to present scheduling conflicts and to ensure time to degree, and handle requests for special scheduling needs. Participate in programming the academic mentor program in the Office of Academic Excellence (OAE) in Athletics. Make group presentations and represent the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics as well as College Academic Counseling in Athletics at various campus events.
