Duties:

•Assist academic advisors and student-athletes with academic advising issues, including weekly meetings with assigned student-athletes •Assist Tutor Coordinator with recruitment and training of tutors for the tutoring program for student-athletes •Assist Learning Specialists in the C.A.V.E. with objective-based study table program •Prepare weekly reports for study hall usage for academic advisors and coaching staff •Assist in gathering data and preparing reports for advisors in all facets of academic support services •Assist with hiring of class checkers and distribution and compilation of grade checks as requested •Meet with recruits during on-campus visits •Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree and admission to a full-time, residential Purdue University graduate degree program •Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and flexible in a work environment •Ability to interact diplomatically with individuals from diverse social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds to promote inclusion •Computer proficient (Microsoft Office) •Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills •The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines •Some evening and weekend hours required

This is a two-year assignment and includes a bi-weekly stipend of approximately $1050 (with paid vacation/sick leave) and full waiver of tuition and fees except for approximately $200 per semester (*note: this amount can differ widely depending on the graduate program). Start date will be mid-to-late summer 2026.

Preference will be given to applicants interested in a career in academic support services in intercollegiate athletics upon completion of the graduate degree program.
