Camp Kennybrook is a traditional sleepaway camp in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York. Family-owned and operated for 60 years, we pride ourselves on being a close-knit community where campers and staff alike create lasting memories, grow as individuals, and feel truly known.
We’re launching a brand-new Lacrosse Program for Summer 2026 and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced leader to bring it to life!
Position Overview The Lacrosse Director will design and lead a new lacrosse program for campers ages 7–15. This is an exciting opportunity to build a program from the ground up, creating the curriculum, leading practices, and mentoring a team of college-aged counselors who will assist in instruction.
The ideal candidate loves working with kids, thrives in a community environment, and is passionate about growing the game of lacrosse in a fun and positive way.
Qualifications
Strong background in lacrosse (playing and/or coaching experience required).
Experience working with children in a camp, recreation, or school setting.
Leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a small team.
Energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic attitude.
Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, 90 minutes North of New York City, we are a family owned, family run, co-ed, overnight camp where literally everyone knows every body. Approximately 300 campers, ranging from ages 6-16, and 125 staff members call Kennybrook their second home each summer. Our staff is made up of long-term adult educators and college-age leaders, and many of our counselors are former Kennybrook campers. Our staff members take the time to get to know every camper in order to help them have the best possible camp experience, and our engaged directors are always available to speak to parents throughout the summer. We’ve created such a special place at Kennybrook that once people come, they never want to leave! We are proud to share that we have over an 85% camper return rate each summer.
