Position Summary: Manages all aspects of the women’s volleyball program.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Provides leadership, organization and supervision for all aspects of the women’s volleyball program. (40%)
2. Supervises student-athletes during practices and games, observing and evaluating performance and demonstrating proper techniques. Monitors the academic performance of student-athletes in conjunction with the academic staff. Evaluates and recruits high-school student-athletes. (25%)
3. Manages the women’s volleyball program with the parameters of the approved operating budget. (15%)
4. Assists with Green Wave Club fundraising efforts as necessary. Assists with marketing and promotion activities for the women’s volleyball program. Represents the university and women’s volleyball program at professional meetings, alumni events, booster club meetings and other events as necessary. (5%)
5. Assists in directing or directs sport camps as requested or required. (5%)
6. NCAA Related: Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations. (5%)
7. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Academic Advising for Student Athletes and Deputy Athletic Director, Student Services. (5%)

Proven ability to multi-task effectively
Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and social media
Availability to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
Travel with sport teams for away contests
Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American conference rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience in NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics
