The Softball Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in the day to day operations of a Division I intercollegiate women’s softball program. Duties include, but are not limited to: budgeting, equipment ordering, compliance paperwork, video editing, practice planning and game preparation, on field player instruction, team travel, camps and clinics. The Assistant Coach will identify, encourage and evaluate prospective student athletes and help facilitate application and acceptance at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies.

This is a full-time one-year temporary position. The salary of this temporary position is $63,000 to $70,000. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of collegiate playing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Highly motivated, outstanding work ethic and strong recruiter
• Collegiate coaching experience preferred. Credentials should reflect proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting and in working with student-athletes.
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of successful NCAA coaching experience.
• Specialization in hitting and/or defense instruction.
• International coaching and/or playing experience
• Experience with Synergy, GoRout, and other softball specific data driven software
