DEPARTMENT: Men’s and Women’s Bowling - Athletics
QUALIFICATIONS: A.EducationBachelor’s Degree required B.ExperiencePlaying or coaching background in the sport of Bowling C.Abilities •Demonstrated talent in building cohesive teams; •Independent decision making and ability to exercise good judgment; •Good written and oral communication skills; •Ability to work independently and as a team member to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines; •Organizational skills, time management, relationship building, and communication skills are essential; •Willing to work long hours.
REPORTS TO: Head Coach – Men’s and Women’s Bowling
SUPERVISES: Assigned Athletics, and/or JV teams
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: A.Administer your sport in total compliance with William Penn, NAIA, and HAAC regulations and guidelines. B.Monitor and stay within the Men’s and Women’s Bowling budget parameters. All purchases need to be approved by the head coach. C.Assist with recruiting and retaining student-athletes. D.Attend Athletic Department meetings. E.Assist with the coordination of travel plans with the Transportation Director. F.Be a positive role model for athletes and monitor discipline procedures within your sport. G.Encourage/monitor attendance and academic performance as directed by the head coach. H.Assist with annual inventory. I.Conduct yourself in a professional manner and display good sportsmanship at all times. J.Fulfill all obligations, as established by your program, for the NAIA Champions of Character initiative. K.Be loyal and supportive of the Staff, Faculty, and Administration. L.Always follow the Chain of Command. M.Cooperate and communicate with the Training Staff N.Assist with the supervision of other athletic events as needed by the administration. O.All Other duties as assigned.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be the responsibility of the Head Bowling Coach.
