Director of Student Athlete Academic Success– Ferris State University. The Director of Student-Athlete Academic Success at Ferris State University provides comprehensive academic support and leadership for student-athletes participating in the 17 NCAA and GLIAC/CCHA-sanctions sports. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, this position works closely with the Coordinator of Compliance and Student-Athlete Success and the Athletic Learning Specialist to ensure academic excellence and NCAA compliance for over 400 student-athletes. The position will support students across multiple varsity sports, monitor academic progress, and assist with course registration and degree planning. The Director will coordinate faculty progress reports (EAB), manage academic feedback systems for academically vulnerable students, and work with the registrar’s office in timely and accurate reporting of eligibility certification. The position will collaborate with coaches, faculty, and campus departments to promote student-athlete success and retention while connecting student-athletes with available campus resources at FSU and maintaining compliance with NCAA, GLIAC/CCHA, and institutional regulations. Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Division I or II intercollegiate athletics department. Demonstrated understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as it relates to academic eligibility.
