About the Role

Lakeville SC is seeking a passionate and experienced Tier 2 Technical Director to lead our BU13-U19 competitive teams (TCSL Regional, State, and Cities levels). This role is ideal for a coach who excels at developing players and preparing them for progression into our elite Tier 1 programs.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Program Oversight

• Develop and implement the annual Technical Plan for BU13-U19 Tier 2 teams, ensuring alignment with club philosophy and player development goals.

• Oversee all competitive-level programming, including training, matches, and player evaluations for teams competing in TCSL Regional, State, and Cities levels.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for TCSL compliance, scheduling, and competition standards.

Coaching & Player Development

• Directly coach one Tier 1 or 2 team, modeling best practices in training, match management, and player mentorship.

• Lead the tryout and player evaluation process for BU13-U19 Tier 2 teams, ensuring fair and competitive selections.

• Monitor and enhance player development through structured feedback, individualized growth plans, and bridging the gap to Tier 1 standards.

Coach Development & Curriculum

• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate Tier 2 coaching staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

• Ensure consistent implementation of club curriculum across all Tier 2 teams through observations, training sessions, and coach feedback.

• Organize and lead coach education workshops, focusing on skill development, tactical understanding, and age-appropriate training methodologies.

Pathway Development

• Collaborate with the Tier 1 Technical Director to identify and transition high-potential players into elite programs.

• Support player and parent education on development pathways, including opportunities for advancement within the club.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • USSF C License (or equivalent; B License preferred or intent to complete).

  • 3+ years of experience coaching competitive youth teams (U13-U19) in TCSL or comparable leagues.

  • Proven ability to develop players and improve team performance.

• Preferred:

  • Experience with player identification and pathway programs.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop coaches.
