The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Assistant Director to advise student-athletes on course selection, requirements for selected areas of concentration, and post-college plans to help meet educational needs and realize student-athletes’ academic goals. This position also monitors assigned student-athletes’ progress towards degree and NCAA requirements in compliance with conference and NCAA standards. Student-athletes caseload will primarily be from Football. Assists/leads class checking program. *This position has an approximate start date in June 2025.

Required Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Education, Sports Management, or a related field*
• One year of advising experience OR two years of academic support experience*
• Strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, independent thinker
• Organized individual with the ability to multi-task effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
• Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
• Three years of experience working directly in student-athlete academic services with football student-athletes
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of education/experience requirements
