Reporting to the Athletics Director or designee, the head women’s softball coach will provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of a competitive program.
This includes; Strong ability to provide overall leadership of the softball program Proven recruiter and evaluator at Division I, II or III level Ability to create a strong and positive culture within the program Responsible for the supervision and coordination of an assistant coach and volunteer coach Maintain high level of academics Manage all aspects of coaching, supervising team practices, competitions, and tournaments Manage all aspects scheduling with competitions, road travel, practices, and workouts Work with program administrator and athletic business office to manage program budget and team travel Ensure compliance with all department policies and guidelines Comply with all applicable Boston College, ACC, and NCAA rules, guidelines, and policies Represent themselves in a manner consistent with positive representation of Boston College Opportunity within University guidelines to manage, host, and execute softball summer camps and clinics at Boston College In coordination with program administrator, coordinates evaluations and monthly meetings of all athletic department support areas including Student-Athlete Support Services, Strength and Conditioning, and Sports Medicine Provide annual evaluations of student-athletes and coaches Coordinate opportunities for student-athletes within the athletic department and the life skills program, on campus, and in the community Plan annual programming to connect and engage with former student-athletes Ability to work with athletic development office with annual program fundraising campaign
Salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements A Bachelor's Degree is required.A Master’s Degree is preferred Proven coaching experience at the Division I, II or III level Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and Alumni Proficient computer skills Preferred Five years successful coaching experience preferably at Division I collegiate level
