POSITION SUMMARY: The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Creative Services reports to the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations and will work directly with the Communication and Media Relations department. This position will be an integral part of the creation of all types of creative media used to promote, enhance, and tell the story of NGU Athletics and all those who are involved.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Shoot and create video content for the entirety of the Athletic Department. This includes intro/promotional videos and all videoboard pieces, as well as production and distribution of video across social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), to include feature stories, highlights, previews, etc.
•Create graphic design, branding, and storytelling opportunities for the athletic department across social media, videoboard shows, broadcasts, fundraising, university-controlled media outlets and marketing.
• Assist with the planning and production of the Athletic podcasts with coaches and student athletes.
* Develop storytelling initiatives and distribute content to the appropriate platforms.
* Will assist in creating and engaging fan experience initiatives for home Athletic events increasing fan engagement.
* Collaborate in brainstorming meetings to elevate the graphic design, storytelling, and branding of North Greenville Athletics.
* Shoot pictures to use in the creative and marketing process.
* Complies with all University and NCAA rules and regulations.
* Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor’s degree required. •Videography and photography experience preferred. •Affirm an understanding of the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 •Affirm understanding of the University’s Statement on Human Flourishing •Agree to abide by the employee handbooks, including community standards agreements.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: The position is a part-time position in Athletics. The Graduate Assistant for Creative Content reports directly to the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations.
WORK SCHEDULE The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Creative Services is required to work according to Athletic game schedules, meeting schedules as well as maintaining normal office hours.
TRAVEL: Travel is required for conference and other required meetings.
