Slippery Rock University invites applicants for a non-teaching, temporary, 10-month faculty, with the rank of Instructor. This position will provide athletic training and medical services to SRU student-athletes. This position additionally includes all administrative tasks necessary to be an effective athletic trainer as the head of football and women’s tennis. This posting is the result of a resignation and the line is under consideration for a tenure track search following the 2025-2026 academic year. This position is 10-month July 26, 2025 - May 29, 2026.
Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree required. Experience working in an NCAA athletic department, and strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
A minimum of three years of professional practice as a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer by August 2025 and experience with intercollegiate football. PA state licensure or eligible. Commitment to the education of diverse populations. A successful performance in an on-campus interview and background checks.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an NCAA Division II athletic department. Experience with administrative tasks (i.e. budget, insurance, drug testing, etc.) and as a preceptor.
