The Assistant Equipment and Facility Manager provides critical support to the administrative team, coaching staff, and athletic department. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director and Head Equipment and Facility Manager, the Assistant will oversee the ordering, receipt, care, and inventory of all department soft good and uniform purchases. This position will be Athletics’ main point of contact for laundry operations, mail operations, and equipment/facility tasks as assigned by supervisors. This position will also oversee game competition staffing and game day duties as assigned. This position will have staff and students report to them for laundry operations, mail operations, and game day/event management.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees apparel and laundry operations. Works with coaches, staff, and vendors during the ordering process to secure garments that will fit into the department budgets, while offering great quality and appearance, with ease of care. Responsible for purchasing and use of chemicals and products for uniform and soft goods care.
- Responsible for chemical and product inventory, as well as working directly with vendors for accurate purchases, billing, and product use. Works directly with Facilities in purchasing and repairing washing machines and dryers.
- Oversee the pick-up and delivery of all laundered goods. Responsible for the hiring, training, and management of a robust student-worker staff. Responsible for determining pick-up schedules and operations with coaches and full time staff. Oversee staff assisting with laundry operations as needed.
- Responsible for maintenance and preparation of game-day competitions. Oversee game-day staff in ensuring facilities are set-up and broken down properly. Oversee game-day staff for scoreboard operations. Oversee student staff as needed.
- Oversee mail operations for the athletic department. Responsible for coordinating mail pick-up, delivery to athletic staff, and sending. Responsible for creating athletic mailing systems that athletic staff will adhere to.
- Other equipment, facility, and laundry tasks as assigned.
