Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), seeks an individual for the full-time position of Head Coach, Women’s Basketball. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of running a successful NCAA Division I program. This includes recruiting, coaching, player development, strategy planning, scouting, internal and external program promotion, and motivating college student-athletes who can experience success on the basketball court and in the classroom at a highly competitive university and athletic conference. Position is also responsible for understanding the importance of NCAA rules compliance and for adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree • Demonstrated successful experience as a head coach or assistant coach. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • In depth knowledge of and the ability to teach the game of basketball. • Candidate must have a strong demonstrated working knowledge of, and willingness to comply, with NCAA rules and regulations. • Strong recruiting ties and player evaluation abilities. • Ability to create, develop, and manage a positive and competitive team culture. • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage program logistics and budgets. • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of successful head coaching or assistant coaching experience at the collegiate level.
