Out-of-Season: $35/hour for agreed-upon hours
Bonus details:
$500 for winning the Heartland Division and advancing to playoffs
Incremental $500 for advancing each successive round of the playoff games
$1000 bonus for winning USL-W league
ABOUT THE CLUB
Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities with almost 5000 community owners across 48 states and eight countries. The club has two teams and plays in the pre-professional USL W League and UPSL Women’s League, starring and featuring the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and across the globe. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

The Assistant Coach for USL-W position is part time, seasonal, and starts March 1, 2025. The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach of the USL-W team. The office is located in Eagan, MN, and training and home games are at TCO Stadium.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting: Assist with tryout(s); Assist with identifying, contacting, and recruiting appropriate players
Training: Help the Head Coach plan and lead daily practices; Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities; Maintain the equipment in orderly condition and assume responsibility for its security
Games: Assist with determining game strategy and selecting squad members for each game; Assist with in-game analysis; Assist with game day preparations (setting up equipment, communicating with referees, delivering game day messages, etc.)
Video Analysis: Analyze Aurora film and scout opponents; Assist with developing Scouting Reports
Player Development: Help players develop skills and game understanding; Providing feedback and constructive criticism; Use video as a teaching tool
Squad Selection: Assess players’ skills; Monitor players during competition and practice; Keep the Head Coach informed of player performance
Administrative: Perform various administrative duties, such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms and emergency data cards, and planning travel to away games
Pre-Season: Attend and lead pre-season video call meetings; Assist with Pre-Season tactical and physical periodization
Coach Development: Desire to continue evolving as a coach; Openness to new ideas; Reflective
Coaching Staff Interaction: Collaborative with other staff, Ability to have open, respectful, direct dialogue, Understand and execute your role within the larger staff
Coach Conduct: Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Complete Safe Sport Certification and pass a background check
USSF C License or Equivalent
Minimum of 2 years coaching experience in high performance soccer (i.e. collegiate, pre-professional, semi-professional, professional, etc)
Ability to co-create a healthy team culture (cultivating intrinsic motivation, interpersonal respect, high commitment)
Must commit to MN Aurora being a priority in season, May-July. Must attend all trainings, matches, meetings, etc. Must be available to work and travel during weekends, early mornings, nights, and holidays based on game and training schedule.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Coaching-focused academic degree
USSF B License or Equivalent
Minimum of 4 years coaching experience in high performance soccer (collegiate, pre-professional, semi-professional, professional, etc.)
