The University of South Carolina Beaufort is a four-year public University nestled in the Lowcountry, located less than 15 miles from the beautiful beaches of the resort island of Hilton Head and 20 miles from historic Savannah & historic Beaufort. With a yearly average high of 75.6 degrees, the weather is favorable for outdoor recreation, outdoor training and sporting events. The USCB Sand Sharks have been accepted into NCAA Division II Provisional Membership as of July 2022 and have began competing as members of the Peach Belt Conference.
The Strength and Conditioning Coach will be responsible for the overall operation of the strength and conditioning program, which includes the oversight, implementation, and development of performance programming for student-athletes in accordance with USCB, the Peach Belt Conference, and NCAA Division II regulations.
Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ experience in collegiate strength & conditioning training, personal training, or strength and fitness instruction at any level. Must possess and maintain Certification by CSCCa-SCCC, or higher-level certification. Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree with 5 years’ successful collegiate strength and conditioning training/coaching or sports performance coaching experience. Possess and maintain Level 1 certification or higher by the United States of America Weightlifting (USAW) and/or NSCA-CSCS
Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, coaches, student-athletes, sports medicine staff and other university staff; Proven success in a areas of strength and conditioning programming; Comply with NCAA D2 regulations, conference rules and University policies.
