NJY Camps is a co-ed residential camp in the Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania, located only 90 miles from NYC. Camp provides an exciting opportunity to teach and supervise staff in all areas of athletics while being a part of an awesome community! Our Head of Athletics will manage the daily operations of our sports program and will oversee both our boys and girls programs, and the athletics staff. This position provides the chance to work with players of differing ages and abilities. We are looking for our Head of Athletics to work the length of the summer on-site in Milford, PA. JOB DESCRIPTION - HEAD OF ATHLETICS
Supervised by Camp Director
Areas of Responsibility:
Direct supervisory responsibility for all athletic staff including:
Basketball Specialist
Soccer Specialist
Baseball Specialist
Lacrosse Specialist
Archery Specialist
Hockey Specialist
Tennis Specialist
General Athletic Specialists
Gymnastics Specialist
Biking Specialist
Dance Specialist
Supervises the running of the instructional and recreational program in concert with the Directors
Ensure that skills and drills are being taught by your instructors during instructional periods
Manage, oversee, and provide feedback on all athletic lesson plans
Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of all athletics facilities including fields, courts, recreational buildings and storage facilities
Create and implement intra-camp sports leagues and tournaments to ensure exciting competitive play
Collaborate with Athletic staff at other camps to coordinate inter-camp sporting opportunities
Assist with Athletic supply inventorying, ordering, and maintenance
Contribute to other functions of camp as assigned by supervisors including by not limited to:
