Bethany College is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time, 12-month position of Head Women’s Soccer Coach. This position will report to the Director of Athletics. The successful candidate must coordinate and implement all aspects of a competitive program.
Responsibilities include:
- Meet recruiting goal - Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
- Monitor and support all student-athletes in their academic pursuits
- Manage the recruiting and operating budgets of the program in accordance with all Bethany College policies
- Plans, prepares and oversees all practices and scheduled competitions to provide a positive and competitive experience for student-athletes
- Coordinate fundraising efforts for the program in accordance with all Bethany College policies
- Develops and executes soccer camps and clinics
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches in department, the College, the Center for Enrollment, the Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations and other constituents interested in the program
- Secondary Duty – Game management – Sport Specific
- Performs other duties as assigned
Bethany offers 23 teams on the intercollegiate level. Our athletes compete at the NCAA DivisionIII level. Bethany teams have a long-time tradition of not only competing for conference championships, but also for appearances in postseason play. Bison athletic programs are affiliated with the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC). Our Bison compete against several other top liberal arts colleges from the region. In its history, Bethany’s accomplishments include the 1994 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer National Championship,100+ Presidents’ Athletic Conference championships, 70+ NCAA Tournament Appearances, and 50+ ECAC Championship appearances.

Minimum qualifications include:
A Bachelor's degree, a valid driver's license, and 1-3 years of appropriate experience recruiting and coach in the sport of soccer. Preference will be given to candidates with a master's degree and proven recruiting and coaching experience at the intercollegiate level. Knowledge of and adherence to Bethany, NCAA Division III, and Presidents' Athletic Conference rules and regulations are also required.
