The Director of Compliance & Sport Administration plays a vital role in ensuring that the conference and its member institutions maintain adherence to NCAA rules, regulations, and conference standards. This role involves collaborating closely with conference staff, member institutions, coaches, and student-athletes to promote a culture of compliance. The Director also supports the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) by coordinating meetings and activities that enhance student-athlete development. Additionally, the Director will manage various aspects of sport administration, including championship planning and policy implementation for assigned sports. Key responsibilities include:
NCAA Compliance:
Assist the Associate Commissioner of Compliance & Student-Athlete Development in managing all aspects of NCAA compliance, governance and student-athlete development.
Serve as a proactive resource for member institutions for compliance-related matters.
Develop and deliver educational materials to enhance understanding of NCAA and conference rules among compliance staff, coaches, and student-athletes.
Assist in conducting annual compliance reviews at member campuses to ensure adherence to NCAA standards and best practices.
Attend NCAA and CCACA compliance seminars to stay updated on compliance developments.
Ensure member institutions meet all NCAA compliance requirements, including annual attestations.
Ensure member institutions adhere to all conference compliance requirements, including scholarship standards, sportsmanship agreements, and other related bylaws.
Assist with the oversight of the Conference’s contracted monitoring service.
Perform other compliance-related duties as assigned by the Associate Commissioner of Compliance & Student-Athlete Development. Student-athlete Development:
Provide support for the Student-athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), including coordination and facilitation of meetings and activities.
Assist with organizing and conducting annual Conference events, promoting excellence in academics, health and wellness and personal development among student-athletes.
Coordinate the Conference’s annual student-athlete academic awards. Sport Administration:
Oversee the day-to-day operations for assigned sports, including scheduling, officiating, reporting, and video exchange.
Develop, implement, and enforce conference policies and procedures for assigned sports.
Plan and execute conference championships for assigned sports.
Manage championship budgets for assigned sports.
Coordinate and lead head coaches’ meetings for assigned sports.
Develop and manage conference schedules for assigned sports.
Act as the primary liaison to the Coordinator of Officials for assigned sports.
Assist with the development and implementation of tiebreaker procedures for assigned sports.
Prepare end-of-season reports, including statistics and feedback from championships.
Assist with Conference and NCAA championship administration.
Perform other duties, including delegated projects and championship support, as assigned by the Senior Associate Commissioner of Sport Administration. Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Associate Commissioner for Compliance & Student-athlete Development and the Senior Associate Commissioner for Sport Administration. Benefits:
