SUMMARY Gwynedd Mercy University is adding Men's Volleyball beginning play as a varsity sport for the 2025-26 academic year. The preferred candidate would begin recruitment in the 2024-25 academic year. Gwynedd Mercy University is a member of the NCAA Division III and Atlantic East Conference.
This is a seasonal, part-time, temporary position. In this position there is a strong emphasis on the recruitment of academically qualified student athletes while also entertaining other responsibilities and functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Recruiting a roster of 15 student-athletes •Planning and executing practices •Scouting of opponents •Game preparation •Contest scheduling •Budget preparation •Fundraising •Equipment management

Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of three years of collegiate coaching experience or related experience required.
Technical Skills Proficiency with the personal computer.
Language Skills Effective written and verbal communication is essential. Ability to articulate athletic policies and procedures. Ability to respond to and deal with varied constituencies.
Mathematical Skills Ability to develop budgetary, demographic and other reports that may require mathematical computations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability Ability to gather, organize, interpret and present information for reports. Ability to respond to crisis and emergencies. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Interpersonal Skills Ability to interact with students on a one-to-one basis as well as in groups. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others.
