Frostburg State University Athletics Department is seeking a full-time 10-month contractual Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach to be responsible for the overall success, performance, and conduct of the FSU Bobcat Women’s Lacrosse program.
This is a 10-month appointment that includes the following benefits will be available on an annual basis:
·University System of Maryland Tuition Remission program. ·Five (5) days of annual leave ·Holidays ·Three (3) days of sick leave ·May participate in the State Health Insurance programs (medical, prescription and/or dental, etc.) that are available to State employees. Staff working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for the applicable state subsidy for medical and prescription coverage.
FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference.
Responsibilities: Administer the women’s lacrosse program in accordance with NCAA regulations and University policy. Recruit, retain, and graduate academically successful student-athletes. Supervise a graduate assistant coach. Promote the women’s lacrosse program through public relations activities, alumni, and friends of swimming relationships. Other related duties as assigned. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to overall departmental philosophy and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. At least 1 years of coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Proven ability to recruit student-athletes.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Experience at the collegiate level.
Other: Any combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and progressively responsible related work experience may be considered.
