The Director of Volleyball Programs will oversee the development and execution of all volleyball-related programs at NVVA. This role requires a leader who can manage day-to-day operations, mentor coaches, and drive the organization toward excellence in customer service and program delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball, proven experience in managing teams, and a passion for youth sports. They will work closely with the CEO to understand and implement the strategic vision for NVVA.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management: Oversee all NVVA volleyball programs, including leagues, camps, clinics, and special events. Ensure programs are executed to the highest standards, meeting both athletic and operational goals.
Operations Oversight: Collaborate with the Facility Manager to ensure the smooth operation of NVVA’s facilities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation. Ensure that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Coaching Development: Work closely with Volleyball Managers, Coordinators, and Master Coaches to support and develop the coaching staff. Ensure that coaching methods align with NVVA’s philosophy and that all coaching goals are met.
Customer Service Excellence: Partner with the Customer Service Team to anticipate and resolve issues, elevate customer satisfaction, and implement systems to monitor and improve service quality.
Budget Management: Work with the Operations and Finance Teams to oversee program budgets. Ensure that income and expenses are on track and that resources are used efficiently to maintain financial viability.
Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO to understand NVVA’s long-term vision and develop strategies to achieve it. Act as a representative of the CEO in the gym and at events, embodying the organization’s values and culture.
Innovation and Growth: Identify opportunities for new programs or enhancements to existing offerings. Stay informed about industry trends and bring fresh ideas to NVVA.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in volleyball coaching or sports management, with at least three years in a leadership role (e.g., club director, head coach, or operations manager).
Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team. Proficiency in budget management and strategic planning. Experience in customer service and developing KPIs for program evaluation.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Technology: The ideal candidate should be strongly willing to learn and adapt to new technologies that can enhance NVVA’s operations and customer service. Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn systems such as CRM platforms, financial management tools, and AI-driven applications is essential. They should be proactive in researching and implementing technological solutions that improve efficiency, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.
