Southeast Missouri State University, a NCAA Division I institution and 2021 & 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Cup Champions, is seeking applications for Coordinator of Athletics Marketing & Engagement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the marketing and fan engagement strategies for all sports, including all advertising, promotions, and messaging, to drive ticket sales and increase attendance at athletic events
Manage SEMO Athletics’ communications and marketing channels, including but not limited to email marketing, social media, traditional media advertising (print, radio, television, outdoor), and digital advertising
Manage the in-game fan experience for all sports, including but not limited to gameday promotions, script creation, game presentation, and videoboard operation
Create and execute plans to increase engagement with target constituent groups, including but not limited to students, kids club, alumni, and the southeast Missouri community
Assist with corporate sponsorship activation, prospecting, and solicitation
Recruit, train, manage, and lead the Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Fan Engagement and a team of student interns
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in sport management, marketing, business, management, communications, or related field
Minimum one year of experience in marketing, communications, or game day operations for a collegiate and/or professional athletics organization
Proficiency using of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and basic working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment
Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
