St. Lawrence University invites applications for a Head Coach for Women’s Lacrosse. The head coach will direct the development, organization and management of all phases of this Division III Women’s Lacrosse program. Primarily responsible for the instruction of athletes both on and off the field and in the classroom, organization, administration, coaching and recruitment. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to the academic mission of the University and to a competitive NCAA Division III Athletics Program. Annual salary $58,459.
Additional duties will include the following:
Recruitment of highly qualified student-athletes
Direct student-athlete development both on and off the field; ensuring academic success, good citizenship, sportsmanship, and promotion of positive values consistent with the mission of St. Lawrence University
Program organization; including practice planning, game preparation, and systems implementation for both offense and defense
Ability to supervise, evaluate, and effectively provide direction to one graduate assistant coach
Additional responsibilities include a secondary assignment such as game management, intramurals or teaching in the minor, as well as other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required (Masters preferred)
Minimum of three years of college coaching experience
Demonstrated ability to recruit diverse, quality student-athletes
Ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, faculty/staff, University community members and alumni
Knowledge of all NCAA and Liberty League rules & regulations pertaining to DIII women’s lacrosse
