The Assistant Coach, Cross Country and Track and Field is responsible for assisting in the overall management of the Cross Country and Track and Field team. This position is responsible for assisting the Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach in all aspects of practice and competition preparation, recruitment of student athletes, and the comprehensive operation of the program with student athlete welfare as a guiding principle. Management of the program must adhere to all budgetary guidelines, as well as NCAA, Mid-American Conference (MAC) and University of Toledo policies. This position is expected to help manage a team that is highly competitive within the MAC as well as experiencing competitive success regionally.
Assistant Coach, Cross Country and Track and Field is responsible for adhering to compliance, policies and procedures of the Athletic Department, University of Toledo, NCAA and MAC.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
2-3 years of coaching experience collegiately and/or 2-3 years of high level club coaching experience.
Exposure to the collegiate recruiting process.
Administrative experience in running collegiate, club or high school diving.
Communications and other skills:
Ability to effectively communicate and counsel student-athletes on requirements for personal conduct, academic performance and athletic performance.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrate professional conduct and ethical behavior.
Ability to comply with all policies and regulations of the University, MAC and NCAA.
