The Youth Training Coach – Programs and Partnerships, will be responsible for delivering high quality training sessions to our local soccer community through partnership programs, community events or clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong soccer background, excellent coaching skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor young players. As a Youth Training Programs Coach you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on young soccer players throughout the greater Sacramento Region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate soccer training sessions and drills for players ranging from 3 to 16 years old
Teach fundamental soccer skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork, in an engaging and inclusive manner.
Create a safe and inclusive soccer environment that promotes sportsmanship, fair play, and positive attitudes among players
Organize and supervise soccer games, skills training and other related activities
Provide individualized coaching and feedback to help players improve their soccer skills
Collaborate with fellow coaching staff to ensure the overall success of the program.
Assist with the setup and maintenance of soccer equipment and facilities.
Uphold club rules, policies, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of players.
Attend department coaching meetings and department trainings.

This is a year round role, with mandatory reasonable availability August – November. The majority of work will be completed in the afternoon and evenings of weekdays (Mon-Fri).
As part of the interview process, an on-field observation may be requested upon having the verbal interview.

Required Qualifications:

Previous coaching experience, preferably in youth soccer.
Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
Open availability especially during the fall youth soccer season August - November.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children and teenagers.
Passion for working with youth and helping them develop both athletically and personally.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain before the start of camp).
Background check and reference checks may be required.
