Summary of Responsibilities: Assists the head coach of a sport with overall management, with the main responsibility being the teaching of student-athletes in games, practices, and film sessions. Similarly, the assistant coach is responsible for helping the head coach to develop a consistently competitive program through teaching of student-athletes, in which, the team can contend for conference championships on a regular basis. In addition to instructing student athletes in how to perform their sport, the Assistant Coach will also provide instruction on physical health and well-being, team concepts, and safety.
