To assist in the direction of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department; may be delegated responsibility for the overall direction and management of a specific functional area. Reports to Athletic Director or designee.

This position serves on the department's senior leadership team and is charged to lead the department's comprehensive NCAA compliance program.

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Assist in establishment and implementation of department policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
Manage assigned areas of the athletic program which may include facility scheduling and maintenance, fiscal policy and procedure, events scheduling and operation, development and fund raising activities, academic and student affairs, media relations, business office operations, personnel development, marketing and promotion, and other appropriate areas.
Oversee budget development and personnel administration for assigned athletic program areas.
Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and National Collegiate Athletics Association regulations.
Serve on various department, division, and University committees.
Prepare and maintain records and reports related to assigned area.
May function as the Director in his/her absence.
Leadership of a small department, unit, or major function and/or direct supervision over administrative/professional employees.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include leading comprehensive and service-based NCAA compliance unit, including developing a vision for the structure and execution of all compliance related functions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional experiences with all NCAA bylaws, waivers, eligibility and NIL; as well as a track record of upholding institutional integrity at the highest accord. This position will have direct supervision over two full time compliance staff members (Asst. AD & Coordinator). Additionally, this position may serve as the sport administrator for one or more programs as well as the institutionally designated Title IX coordinator.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field; four years experience in athletic administration preferably at the Division I or II level.
