The Director of Compliance reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services. Primary responsibilities include monitoring compliance with NCAA, Conference and UCLA rules and regulations; supervision of 3 full time staff members; researching NCAA rules, case precedent and interpretations; drafting waivers, violation reports and NCAA submissions; providing rules education; administration of playing and practice seasons; time demands education, monitoring and policy upkeep; and other duties as assigned.

Candidates should have experience conducting research, possess superior critical thinking skills, and demonstrate strong organizational abilities; Experience working with NCAA Compliance at Division I intercollegiate athletics level preferred; Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred; Experience working with Teamworks, JumpForward and Compliance Assistant preferred; Working knowledge of sports and athletes, specifically, UCLA sports, will provide value; Ability to perform duties with a great degree of accuracy, meet deadlines, work effectively under conditions of frequent interruptions and fluctuating workload; Analytical skill to evaluate information, identify and resolve problems; Ability to work effectively in teams and independently required; Ability to attend competitions and events at night and on weekends, as necessary, required; Strong verbal and written communication skills required; Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coaches, students, other staff members and campus administrators.
