Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Advancement, the Assistant Director for Development will serve as the primary point of contact for all aspects of revenue generating special event and athletics hospitality coordination, donor relations and communications, donor stewardship, customer service, and game day operations. This position will work on an array of administrative duties that are variable and complex in nature and is required with exercising a high level of discretion and confidentiality, as it relates to work with donors, coaches, athletics staff, and other constituents. This role applies skills and knowledge in multiple administrative functions, but many responsibilities reflect a distinct Advancement component. This position will oversee management of the department's donor relations strategy and process including leading the fulfillment of One Spartan Nation membership benefits. The individual must be highly organized and deliver with exceptional oral and written communication skills. Additionally, the Assistant Director is an active collaborator and team member with the donor services team and is responsible for high level coordination with the Advancement staff regarding One Spartan Nation annual giving campaigns; as well as high level coordination and teamwork with University Advancement and Athletics; and design, plan and execute high level revenue generating events and donor hospitality for an array of constituents by conducting research, executing strategies, and implementing plans.
Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and one year of experience with revenue generation. Valid driver's license
Preferred Bachelor's Degree and previous work experience in NCAA Division I and/or professional athletics development or revenue generation.
