Spalding University is seeking a candidate for a Full-Time Assistant Baseball Coach. This position will report directly to the Head Coach and will assist in coaching and recruiting for the program directly in line with all University, Conference, and NCAA guidelines. Spalding University is located downtown Louisville, Kentucky and participates in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as a NCAA Division III member. Pitching background preferred, but open to all. Responsibilities for this position include organizing and executing daily practice plans, on and off campus recruiting, game day management, and assist in all clinics and camps. Must be able to work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, and coaching peers. Also, must demonstrate a working knowledge of NCAA rules and maintain the integrity of the athletic program through the appropriate application of these rules.
Salary/Hourly wage for this position is $20,000 yearly with a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical coverage, 403b, 23 Paid Time Off days, 21 Holidays, tuition remission, and much more.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following: •Assist Head Coach in daily instruction and practice sessions. •Assist Head Coach with the JV program. •Assist Head Coach in practice and game preparations. •Accompany team to all home and road contests. •Assist in all areas of recruiting potential student-athletes. •Assist in team fundraising activities. •Achieve a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all applicable rules and policies which govern athletics at Spalding University. This includes NCAA Division III guidelines, as well as those of the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Spalding University. •Represent Spalding University and our Athletic Department in an exemplary fashion. •All other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics.
