UNM Athletics Academic Advising is seeking a Student Eligibility Specialist to coordinate and advise specific sports to include football, men's and women's tennis. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and knowledge of NCAA rules and standards in regard to student eligibility and graduation. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Providing a variety of student support services such as, career advisement, tutoring, accessibility services, assessment/testing, at-risk student services, crisis management, and co-curricular education programs
Collaborating with Academic Advisors to provide academic guidance
Implementing programs and initiatives with defined recruitment, retention, and graduation outcomes
Assisting student athletes in understanding meeting eligibility guidelines based on NCAA, Mountain West Conference, and UNM requirements
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
