We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Athlete Recruiter specializing in Golf. If you have a deep understanding of the golf industry, excellent networking skills, and a passion for helping young athletes achieve their academic and athletic goals, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
Identify and recruit talented high school golf athletes who have the potential to excel in both academics and athletics.
Develop and maintain relationships with golf coaches, associations, and talent scouts to stay updated on prospective athletes.
Evaluate athletes based on their performance, skills, academic achievements, and character to determine their eligibility for scholarships.
Collaborate with the ASM Scholarships team to match athletes with suitable scholarship opportunities that align with their aspirations and academic goals.
Provide guidance and support to athletes throughout the scholarship application process, including helping them prepare application materials, navigate eligibility requirements, and improve their chances of securing scholarships.
Organize and participate in scouting events, tournaments, and showcases to discover new talent and promote ASM Scholarships' offerings.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the golf industry, including
NCAA regulations and requirements for college golf programs.
Assist in developing marketing strategies to promote ASM Scholarships' golf programs and attract potential sponsors and partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Sports Management, Education, or a similar discipline) is preferred.
Proven experience in athlete recruiting, preferably within the golf industry.
Deep knowledge of the golf landscape, including golf associations, tournaments, and talent pools.
Strong network of contacts within the golf community, including coaches, talent scouts, and athletes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build relationships with athletes, coaches, and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to assess athletic talent and potential.
Understanding of the NCAA rules and regulations related to golf scholarships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Passion for education and a genuine desire to help young athletes succeed academically and athletically.
