As the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, this position is responsible for managing an intercollegiate basketball program to include recruiting, instructing, and coaching students and coordinating various program related activities. The head coach of the Women’s Basketball Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Bay College and the National Junior College Athletic Association. This individual will serve as an Assistant Athletic Director with either responsibilities of compliance/game day management OR sports information director for the Norse Athletics Department.
Minimum Qualifications • A bachelor’s degree is required. • Three (3) years of experience of program or project management. • One (1) to three (3) years of coaching experience. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Demonstrated experience using technology software programs. • Must be able to work evenings and weekends and possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations. Compliance/game day management: • Experience in compliance and game management at the intercollegiate level preferred. • Experience with statistical software (i.e. NJCAA Admin Portal, StatCrew, Live Stats, SIDEARM, Boxcast, Hudl, Presto).
OR
SID: • Experience in sports information and game management at the intercollegiate level preferred. • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (ie. InDesign, Photoshop) preferred.
