Job Summary/Basic Function: Individual will oversee all aspects of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball program. Duties and responsibilities: identify and recruit athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; supervise, evaluate, and develop all assistant coaches and student-athletes participating in the basketball program; prepare student athletes for competition; demonstrate strong support for the academic mission of the university and the academic progress and ultimate graduation of its student athletes.
In accordance with the principles of NCAA rules compliance, it is understood that any employee who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education. 3 years experience coaching women’s basketball.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. NCAA collegiate coaching experience. The successful candidate will have integrity and high ethical standards and will exhibit a strict adherence to NCAA, university and departmental rules and regulations while demonstrating a strong commitment to student academic achievement and athletic success.
